0.3-0.4 t/h fish feed machine for sale

Overview of 0.3-0.4T/H Fish Feed Machine

This machine is an equipment specifically designed for small to medium-sized aquaculture farms and small-scale feed processing. With a capacity of 0.3 to 0.4 tons per hour (300-400 kg/h), it represents the typical output for small floating fish feed. Featuring a single screw extruder as its core, it is the ideal choice for producing floating feed in small production lines.

As the core pelleting unit of a complete fish feed line, this machine can operate independently. It can also be easily integrated with upstream and downstream equipment—such as grinding, mixing, drying, and cooling systems—to form a fully matched small-scale production line that ensures stable and reliable output.

Fish feed making machine structure

Unlike the complex designs of large industrial twin screw extruders that chase maximum capacity, this single screw model embraces a compact and precise philosophy. It integrates all essential pelleting functions, ensuring stable output while significantly lowering the barrier to operation and reducing maintenance costs.

The entire machine is built around the complete process of transforming powder into expanded pellets. It features six optimized functional modules, each specifically engineered to solve the real pain points of small-scale production.

• Precision Machining: Uniform die holes ensure consistent pellet quality.
• Optimized Compression Ratio: Improves forming rate and reduces fines/dust.
• Versatile Formulas: Suitable for various raw materials (corn, soybean meal, fish meal, etc.).
• High Wear Resistance: Extended service life.

Value: More uniform pellets, lower waste, and stable operation

Conditioner

• Adjustable Position: Flexibly controls the length of the pellets.
• Clean Cutting: Ensures a smooth finish, reducing burrs and breakage.
• Multi-Species Adaptable: Suitable for fish feed, shrimp feed, and other specifications.

Value: One machine fits multiple product specifications.

• Steam Conditioning: Increases the gelatinization of raw materials.
• Enhanced Bonding: Improves pellet binding and water stability.
• Better Absorption: Increases the nutritional absorption rate.

Value: More stable pellets, better palatability, and superior farming results.

• Variable Speed Control: Ensures uniform and continuous feeding.
• Prevents Blockages: Avoids material jams and idle running.
• Flexible Adjustment: Can be adjusted based on formulas and capacity.

Value: Improves equipment stability and reduces failure rates.

• Overload Protection: Prevents equipment damage.
• Emergency Stop: Enhances operational safety.
• Protection Design: Guards key components.

Value: Reduces downtime risks and guarantees continuous production.

• Single Screw Structure: Stable and reliable.
• High-Temperature & Pressure: Improves starch gelatinization.
• Versatile Output: Produces floating or sinking feed (via process adjustment).
• Improved Digestibility: Enhances feed digestibility and water stability.

Value: Directly determines the quality of the feed and breeding results.

Feed Types This Machine Can Produce

No need to buy multiple machines for different products. This 0.3-0.4 t/h fish feed machine does it all.

It easily switches between standard aqua feeds (like Grass Carp and Tilapia), specialized shrimp and crayfish feed, and even basic pet food pellets. One single feed machine investment opens doors to multiple markets, maximizing your return.

The first step of the production line. This system grinds grains and blocks like corn, soybean meal, and bran into the appropriate fineness.

Grinding fineness directly impacts mixing uniformity and extrusion quality. Proper fineness ensures uniform powder for the extruder, guaranteeing pellet quality from the very beginning.

Ensures consistent nutrition in every batch. This system fully mixes various raw materials according to the formula, ensuring the nutrients are evenly distributed.

During mixing, you can also add oils, vitamins, trace elements, or probiotics. A liquid addition device ensures these ingredients are evenly sprayed onto the mash.

The heart of the production line—this is where our machine is installed.

The mixed powder first enters the conditioner, where steam or hot water is added to soften the material and pre-gelatinize the starch. It then moves to the single-screw extruder, where high temperature and pressure cook, shear, and knead the material. Finally, it is forced through the die. As the pressure is instantly released, the pellet expands. The cutting system precisely controls the pellet length.

Prevents mold and ensures storage. Fresh pellets coming out of the extruder have high moisture content. Without immediate drying, they will mold and spoil. The drying system reduces the moisture to a safe level.

For small lines, a multi-layer belt dryer is commonly used. The temperature and drying time can be adjusted based on pellet size and formula.

Prevents moisture return and improves hardness. If hot pellets are packaged immediately, the heat will condense inside the bag, causing the pellets to absorb moisture and mold.

Cooling reduces the pellet temperature to within 5°C of the ambient temperature. This stabilizes the moisture content, increases hardness, and prevents breakage during packaging, transport, and storage.

The final step from raw material to saleable product. The packaging system weighs, bags, and seals the cooled feed according to specifications.

For small-scale lines, a semi-automatic packaging solution is ideal. It includes an electronic weigher and a sewing machine or heat sealer. It takes up little space and is easy to operate. Once packaged, the feed is ready for the warehouse or direct shipment to customers.
