A farming enterprise in the eastern United States invested in building a multi-functional production line to meet the demand for catfish, tilapia, salmon, and pet food.
This line can flexibly produce fish feed pellets ranging from 1–6 mm and pet food measuring 2–12 mm, accommodating both floating and sinking pellets. It also handles various raw materials, helping the company quickly increase output and diversify its product range.
During the planning phase, the client’s primary concern was finding equipment that was efficient, stable, and user-friendly. They wanted the production line to be compatible with commonly used American raw materials like corn, soybean meal, and fishmeal, while ensuring uniform pellet formation and consistent nutrition across different sizes.
After multiple rounds of proposal comparisons and technical discussions, the client ultimately chose our customized production line, which not only met their daily output requirements but also left room for future expansion.
Since going into operation, the pellets produced for fish feed and pet food have become more uniform and stable in shape. Sinking fish feed remains intact even when submerged, while floating pellets are easy to dispense. Pet food pellet sizes can also be adjusted flexibly according to different species.

The US Fish Feed & Pet Food Mill Configuration
The equipment used in this project includes a hammer mill, a twin shaft paddle mixer, a twin screw extruder, a mesh belt dryer, a vaccum sprayer, a stainless steel cooler and a fully automatic packaging machine. These fish and pet food production equipment were custom-designed to meet the production capacity of the line.

After the customer confirmed the plan and signed the contract, our factory immediately began production. All feed equipment used in this 1.5-2 ton/hour fish feed and pet food mill in the US is self-manufactured by RICHI, with some key components custom-made based on the client’s raw material type and process needs.
